Internal Communications for Global Staff & Live Earth Music.
OBJECTIVE
2007’s Live Earth music spectacular saw 24 hours of music being played by over 150 artistes in eight concerts, across seven continents.
As the event’s global sponsor, Philips developed a communication piece for its global staff to thank them for their involvement, and to reflect on what had been achieved.
SOLUTION
Create a perfect-bound book and associated CD ROM, packed with vibrant imagery and inspirational copy to reinforce the message that the Philips brand, and environmental care, are intrinsically related.
Book was printed using Resista Eco Intensive vegetable inks on a 100% ECF (Elemental Chlorine Free) pulp with FSC certification and was totally recyclable.
RESULTS
A greater awareness by staff of their company’s involvement in environmental products and care.
18,551 switches to energy saving lamps made by Philips employees (and counting). That’s the equivalent to taking 1,299 cars off our roads.

Invite, Confirmation, Book & Packaging Design.

OBJECTIVE
To create a multi-lingual stand-out invitation and confirmation pack for VIP guests and an overall design theme for various collateral required to support the event.
SOLUTION
Created a 2 part invitation pack which when combined resulted in a mock Subuteo game with SAP branded pitch, nationality branded players and a leaflet featuring magic moments from the tournament’s history.
A pocket size book which included details of previous championship winners, a match schedule for the tournament and profiles on key players to watch.
On-site collateral including specific match information in room on screen, gift packaging, onsite host information.
RESULTS
Creative approach and bi-lingual production greatly increased guest uptake and overall event interest.

Go Mad for Madagascar Summer Campaign.

OBJECTIVE
Support Bristol Zoo Gardens’ vision to be the best city zoo in the world for fun, for families and for young people to build the foundations of wildlife and conservation awareness.
Develop a brand ‘look & feel’ to advertise their new themed visitor attractions at the Zoo.
SOLUTION
We developed a complete communications campaign to market the notion of ‘fun for all’ at the Zoo, supporting the EAZA campaign for conservation programmes in Madagascar.
Communication materials consisted of all creative direction, illustration, bus backs vinyls, billboard advertising across the South West region, press advertising, magazine covers, leaflets, signage and postcards.
RESULTS
During the summer, the ‘M.A.D. for Madagascar’ activities were extremely popular. Over 2,500 fake fur ring-tailed lemur tails were sold (made by the inmates of Leyhill Prison) and thousands of people took part in the ‘learn the lemur lingo’ trail, and in activities in the Conservation Education Centre foyer and a M.A.D. marquee on the west lawn.

OBJECTIVE
Support SAP’s sponsorship of leading sporting and cultural events which include: Motor sport: FIA Formula One: Vodafone McLaren Mercedes (Corporate Partner). Golf: Ernie Els and Gary Player (SAP ambassadors). Tennis: Andy Roddick (SAP ambassador) / ATP men’s tour: SAP Open in San José, California (Title sponsor).
SOLUTION
Design and implement SAP brand guidelines across all sponsorship properties.
Develop end-to-end customer engagement programmes by engaging invited guests across all touchpoints from initial invitation to on-site and post event communications.
Produce bespoke digital and printed communications, from invite to delegates packs.
Design and supply branded merchandise and tailored gifts to support event activity globally.

Over the last few years these programmes have proven to be extremely effective business platforms for SAP, and have provided a unique experience for SAP’s guests.
